Naturopathic Doctors are general practitioners trained to identify a wide range of conditions, and to search out the root cause of the symptoms you are exhibiting. We are also trained to recognize when referral is necessary. Commonly seen conditions are: allergies, autoimmune diseases, cancer, chronic conditions, depression, diabetes, digestive problems, endocrine disorders, fatigue, fertility issues, menopause, men’s health, pain, pediatric concerns, pre-conception/pre-natal and post-natal, weight management, skin disorders and women’s health to name a few. Education: Doctors of Naturopathic Medicine in Canada must have completed at least 3 years of an undergraduate degree with a number of science pre-requisites. This is followed by a 4 year, full time program at either of the two accredited Canadian schools (www.ccnm.edu or www.binm.org) or 4 American schools for Naturopathic Medicine.
